Capital’s Summertime Ball is billed as the UK’s biggest summer party, with tens of thousands of fans at Wembley watching a full day of chart-topping acts. For many young people it is the highlight of the year, and schools, youth groups and tour operators organise group trips to get them there safely.

Summertime Ball 2027
The Summertime Ball is usually held on a Saturday or Sunday in early to mid June. Capital will announce the 2027 date and line-up, and tickets usually go on general sale in late April.
In 2026, doors opened at 1.30pm, the show started at 3.30pm and it finished at around 10pm. That makes for a long day and a late finish, so planning your return journey matters.

School and youth group trips
Taking young people to a stadium concert needs careful planning. Your group travels together on one vehicle, stays under your supervision from pick-up to drop-off, and comes home as one group – no crowded trains and no one getting separated on the Underground late at night.

Age rules at the Summertime Ball
Wembley applies age rules to the Summertime Ball. In recent years, children under 5 have not been allowed in, under-14s have had to be with an adult aged 18 or over at all times, and under-12s have not been allowed in the standing areas. Check the rules for 2027 before booking tickets and planning staff numbers.

On board
All of our Summertime Ball journeys for school and youth groups are alcohol-free. Adult groups can travel under our usual policy of drinks in moderation, and our drivers may refuse travel to anyone who is drunk.
Coach parking at Wembley Stadium
The official coach park is right next to the stadium, and on event days every space must be pre-booked through Wembley Official Parking (opens in a new tab). We handle the booking for you and the coach park charge is always included in your quote. We also run coaches to Wembley for football and rugby league finals and the NFL London Games.
Wembley is inside London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone, and every vehicle in our fleet is LEZ and ULEZ compliant. Wembley is outside the Congestion Charge zone, so that charge does not apply to this journey.

Planning your Summertime Ball trip
Getting there
Entry queues build quickly on concert days, and Wembley advises arriving early. We plan pick-up times to get your group parked and in the queue in good time for doors opening, and your driver confirms the meeting point on the day.
Getting home
With a finish of around 10pm, most groups will not be home until late. We agree a clear meeting point at the coach park and a departure time in advance, so leaders can plan the walk back and do a headcount before leaving. For long days, we plan drivers’ hours in line with UK regulations, which can affect timings or mean a second driver is needed – we explain this clearly when we quote.
